At Baylys Baits, we pride ourselves on producing premium-quality bait and maintaining extremely high standards across everything that leaves us.

Every now and again, though, a batch doesn’t quite meet those standards.

It could be slightly misshapen, a little harder or softer than we’d like, the colour might not be quite right, sizes may vary, or there may simply be another small production issue that means we’re not happy selling it at full price as standard Baylys stock.

Historically, perfectly usable bait like this would often be removed from sale and disposed of.

We’d rather see it put to good use.

Whenever we have one of these batches available, we’ll add it to this listing at a heavily discounted price, normally around 60% OFF the standard retail price.

The bait may not look quite as perfect as usual, but unless specifically stated otherwise, it is still perfectly usable for fishing.

How it works

Each batch will clearly state what the issue is, so you know exactly what you’re buying before you order.

Typical reasons a product may appear in clearance include:

• Misshapen or irregular baits
• Slight size variations
• Harder or softer than our normal specification
• Colour variations
• Texture or finish variations
• Packaging imperfections
• Production imperfections
• Other minor issues that fall below our normal retail standard

Availability depends entirely on what comes through production, so quantities will normally be limited.

Once a batch is gone, it’s gone.

Why is it discounted?

Because these products don’t quite meet the standard we expect from a full-price Baylys product.

Rather than waste perfectly usable bait, we’d rather offer it to anglers at a substantial discount and be completely transparent about why it has been reduced.
